DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 01:NJP/AIRPORT– Phuentsholing Meet & Greet on Phuentsholing - The Gateway of Bhutan by Road from India. It is a thriving commercial center on the northern edge of the Indian Plains. On arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight stay at Phuentsholing

Day 02 : Phuentsholing – Thimphu (Distance: 176 kms. / Driving Time: 6 hrs. ) After breakfast complete the immigration formalities and transfer to Thimphu (7,710 ft.) the capital city of Bhutan. On arrival check in to your hotel. Overnight stay at Thimphu. Availibility Following sightseeing will be there

Kuemselphodrang (commonly known as Buddha Point) where the largest Buddha statue in the country is perched ont he hillock overlooking the Thimphu Valley and enjoy the magnificent few of Thimphu Valley and mountian peaks you can take a short leiseure walk through Kuensel Phodrang nature park.

National Textile Museum which is a good place to see the art of traditional weaving being kept alive and preserved through exhibition and has a good collection of old textiles which are rich in colors and desings. you will also see people weaving with intricate designs.

Traditional Bhutanese paper making factory: The handmade paper making in Bhutan stemmed from the age old tradition ariginated in 8th century of Bhutanese History. THe handmade Paper constitutes as valuable National heritage of Bhutanese cultural identity and is preserved through all the ages.

The Traditional Paper is recognized and held high esteem both in home and outside world. jungshi Paper Factory was established in November 1990 as an undertaking of the Royal Government of Bhutan. The until now boast as a major and sole dealer in handmade Paper and its Product.

Centenary Farmers market (if tour coincides with thursday - sunday) where farmers would be seling their wide range of farm produces . Free Interaction with people from town as well as from villages come to this weekend market Weekend market is from Thursday – Sunday

Bhutan Postal Museum The museum tells the story of Bhutan's progress and development through the evolution of communications and postal system in the country. And also you can get personalized Bhutanese Postage stamps with you photo on them. You can bring along your favourite photo to put on the stamps and put these stamps on your postcard to send to your family and friends.

Craft Bazar A One stop place to withness Bhutanese culture and but Bhutan made art and craft product. The Bazar in its 80 stalls covers all aspicts of the traditonal art and crafts of Bhutan. At this Bazaar craftsmen and artisans from across the country display and sell their handicrafts

Day 04 : Thimphu – PunakhaSightseeing - (Distance: 85 km. / Driving Time: 3 hrs.) After breakfast check out of your hotel and visit sightseeing which is given below. After all these sightseeing you will be travel to Punakha. On arrival at Punakha, check in to your hotel. Overnight stay at Punakha.

HIKE TO TAKTSANG MONASTERY (Tiger's Nest) vIt is one of the most famous of Bhutan's monasteries, Tiger's nest Paroperched on the side of a cliff 900m above the Paro valley floor. It is said that Guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back of a tigress and meditated at this monastery and hence it is called "Tiger's Nest". This site has been recognized as a most sacred place and visited by ShabdrungNgawangNamgyal in 1646 and now visited by all Bhutanese at least once in their lifetime. On 19 April, 1998, a fire severely damaged the main structure of building but now this Bhutanese jewel has been restored to its original splendour. Guest will get ponies for hire to trek this monastery.
